I first dipped my toes into the exciting world of photography when I was at Art College studying Graphic Design. Later in life, I revisited this media in search of satisfying my creative needs. And of course, if you’re good at something, you take it up professionally within a career. As well as photography I also sell my services as a Videographer working on events, exhibitions, awards and conferences near me and across the UK.
I cover all kinds of events and conferences and often shoot for local corporate businesses. Working to supply professional Commercial Photography to market products and services that are on brand. These can then be used for marketing purposes both online and for print production on brochures, magazines and flyers, etc. Portraits are often needed as great headshots can be used for a multitude of purposes from brochures to online social media use.

I’ve produced professional photographic work for The ARB, ADSO, Worcester NHS, Emcor UK in Birmingham, United Biscuits, Arthritis Care, and many more business clients around Birmingham and UK-wide. I’ve also been commissioned for photographic shoots in Europe. Directly working with clients and through Birmingham Advertising Agencies. I’ve also collaborated with other photographers on projects. Through the use of drones, I have produced property images and videos for a variety of clients.

If Photography and Videography work is required at a Conference, Exhibition or Event, I can provide both services, which I’ve done frequently for various clients. Moving effortlessly from one piece of camera equipment to another. I have an extensive range of lenses and cameras suitable for a variety of uses. You can never have too much equipment!
A relaxed yet professional approach when capturing pictures for an event is my style. Friendly interaction with people is crucial to producing natural shots. Not getting in people's faces but working discreetly. Yet still making sure I photograph the best images that answer the client’s brief. Specialising in natural yet interesting photography, I search a room, gallery or group of people to find those perfect headshot portraits. Or documenting interactions on an Exhibition stand or Show. I work hard to get that perfect image.
My style of Birmingham corporate event photography can be altered to suit the needs of the client. If a straightforward clean photo is required I’ll shoot RAW and optimize the images in Lightroom. If a particular creative style is required I can frame shots at an angle and use a narrow depth of field to focus the viewer’s eye on a subject. This is called editing in camera. Yes – the role of a photographer far exceeds just taking great images. I have to be able to use Lightroom and Photoshop as well to a very professional standard. This is where my background in Graphic Design and Video Editing sets me apart.
I use Adobe Photoshop for those times when a specific edit needs to be applied to an image. Whether that be a little photo-retouching like removing an unwanted object. Or adding a logo. I've used Photoshop since version 1 and maintain all software to its up-to-date version.

BIRMINGHAM CONFERENCE PHOTOGRAPHER
There are some amazing venues in and around Birmingham in the West Midlands. The UK’s second city is a central location for hundreds of meetings and events for UK businesses. In the centre of Birmingham, you’ll find hotels such as the Burlington Hotel – famous for being the Midland Red featured in the infamous Peaky Blinders. A short walk away is the ICC and many other hotels up and down Broad Street which is famous for its nightlife. Further out you have the NEC. A thriving exhibition centre that hosts some major events all year round.
