About me – Brian Wheatley
I've been in the Advertising and Graphic Design industry for over 30 years and in 2006 I began filming and editing wedding videos across Birmingham and the Midlands. Up-to-date I've produced over 350 wedding videos and many corporate videos for UK companies. I still retain my graphic design business for all kinds of clients as well as conference and event services. I've been self employed since 1998 running The Multi Media Market.
I work from my home in Dudley where I live with my partner Donna and our two daughters Natasha and Emily.
Weddings can be so much fun but also very stressful. I have experience of many different venues and types of weddings behind me so I'm confident in what I do and I'm willing to give advice if requested.
I used to design and produce Wedding Connections Magazine for Wedding Connections in the Merryhill Shopping Centre so I have some good connections locally within the wedding industry and more than happy to recommend some great suppliers.
I put my passion for creating great imagery into both the filming and editing of a wedding. It's one of the biggest days in someone's life so why compromise on quality?
HOW I FILM A WEDDING
Professional Cameras | Broadcast Standard Video Editing | Years of Experience | Creative Editing
I create cinematic style wedding videos that not only contain musical montages such as the Brides Preparations, Arrivals, Photo Call and Evening Party but I also cover the Ceremony, Speeches and First Dance parts of a wedding in full so you don't miss out on these important sections of your wedding day. You choose your own music for each montage and ambient sound is on the larger sections.
You'll receive a creatively filmed and edited wedding video on DVD* or USB Drive (HD footage) that contains so many memories of yourself, your family and your friends enjoying your wedding day.
Anyone can put a camera on a tripod and press the record button but the skill of a cinematographer is in controlling what the viewer sees or doesn't see. Each shot is composed creatively so when the movie is edited together the viewer shares a memorable and emotional experience that is a joy to watch.
My style of filming is more focussed on the people, details and events of the day rather than staged or directed cinematography, slow motion and flashy editing. I like showing realistic scenes that people will remember and connect with. But still filmed and edited creatively.
On average a Gold Package DVD* will last about two to two and half hours and a Silver Package DVD* is usually around one hour twenty minutes in time. But it all depends on how long the ceremony and speeches last. I film most of the day using the camera on a tripod which means no shaky footage and all shots are focused properly.
Ceremony, speeches and the first dance are filmed using two cameras when possible for a variety of angles.
I shoot with broadcast quality cameras and I record in HD onto Solid State Drives as well as onto internal cards inside the cameras at the same time so no footage will be lost due to hard drive failure. I also use professional shot gun microphones and radio mics where appropriate. The footage is edited on a professional edit suite and stored on a RAID drive for security.
